Massospondylus was a common dinosaur in southern Africa during the early Jurassic (about 190 million years ago) and was a browser feeding on softer nutritious parts of trees and shrubs. This particular specimen is one of the largest and most complete specimens of its species and is housed at the Bernard Price Institute for Palaeontological Research at the University of the Witwatersrand. It grew to about 5 meters long and weight about 200kg.
